Why I write

Writing synthesises contradictory impulses.
While I was wondering whether to pick yellow or blue, I realised silver was my colour.
Out of multiple paths, a single stream is forged. Out of a simple way forward, forks appear like blooms.
I chase after a suitable digression.
I reinvent integrity.
I regather confidence.
I maim the inner critic (for the time being).
I caress faded insights into newfound vivacity.

Why do you write?

I write to return to a state of not knowing.
Let old certainties fall away.
I can’t tell if I’m resting or active:
Different parts of my world are animated.
